I posted an idea on the official Path of Exile forum titled βPoE should add a Microphone Party Feature to Social Tab!β
The idea started with a simple thought: voice communication could become a helpful game changer for parties, guilds, new players, traders, and friends playing together.
The Core Idea
Path of Exile could add an optional party microphone feature inside the Social tab. This would let players speak with their party during maps, bosses, trades, guild events, and learning sessions without needing to rely only on outside apps.
The feature should never be forced. It should simply be available for players who want faster teamwork and easier communication.
Safety-First Design
A good microphone feature should be ethical, optional, and player-controlled.
- Opt-in party voice chat
- Push-to-talk by default
- Mute, block, report, and volume controls
- Friends-only and guild-only options
- Party leader voice toggle
- Clear moderation rules for voice abuse
Why It Could Help
Path of Exile can be fast, complex, and intense. Voice chat could help players coordinate boss phases, explain mechanics, organize trades, teach new players, and communicate during party mapping.
It could also help console players and players who find typing difficult during gameplay. Most importantly, because it would be optional, players who prefer silence could simply keep it turned off.
How It Started With AI
This blog post grew from my conversation with AI. I first asked whether a microphone party feature could help the Path of Exile community now and in the future.
Together, we shaped the idea into a more complete proposal: not just voice chat, but safe and optional voice chat with player choice, privacy, moderation, and accessibility in mind.
After that, our conversation continued into Mirage League item value, ethical trading, and learning how to recognize which items are truly valuable without scamming or misleading anyone.

A Simple Summary
